Best Ground Beef Taco Recipe

– Tongs – Wooden Spoon – Large Skillet

Equipment

– 1 lb ground beef 70-80% lean* – ½ tsp salt – ½ tsp dried Mexican oregano – ¾ tsp cumin

Ingredients

– ¼ tsp granulated garlic – ½ cup tomato sauce – ¼ tsp granulated onion – 1 tbsp chili Powder TACO SHELLS – 8 white corn tortillas – ½ cup oil avocado or vegetable

Ingredients

1. Grab a big skillet and put it on medium heat. Toss in the ground beef and use a wooden spoon to break it into bits as it cooks. 2. Once the beef's cooked, get rid of any extra grease in the pan. Put it back on the stove, but this time, turn the heat down low.

Instructions

3.  Time for flavor! Add half a cup of tomato sauce and the taco seasoning to the beef. Give it a good stir until all the meat is happily coated in the saucy goodness. 4.  Leave it be and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. This gives the flavors a chance to mingle and make your taco meat extra tasty.

Instructions

5. Pour half a cup of oil into a medium-sized skillet and crank up the heat to medium-high. Check if it's hot enough by dipping a tortilla – if it sizzles and bubbles, you're good to go. 6. Lay that tortilla in the hot oil and fry each side for about 30 seconds. Just enough time to get some color and a bit of crispiness.

Instructions

7. Take the tortilla out and let it chill on a paper towel to soak up any extra oil. Then, fold it carefully to make that perfect taco shape. 8. Load up those tortillas with the seasoned ground beef. Now comes the fun part – add your favorite toppings!
