Disaronno Sour with Bourbon
Disaronno Sour without Bourbon
Pour Disaronno, bourbon (if using), lemon juice, and egg white into a cocktail shaker.
Close the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 30 seconds (this is the dry shake).
Add ice to the shaker, then close the lid again.
Shake for another 30 seconds (this is the wet shake).
Pour the mixture into a cocktail glass, add cherries for garnish, and enjoy!

Choose Your Glass: Decide what glass you want to use. If you like it neat, go for a sours glass. But if you prefer it on the rocks, grab a tumbler and fill it with big ice cubes.
-
Pick the Right Amaretto: Use an Amaretto with around 28% alcohol by volume, like Disaronno. Other types might not taste as good in this recipe.
-
Get Icy: Make sure you've got plenty of ice. You want your drink nice and cold.
-
Shake it Up: If you don't have a cocktail shaker, no worries! Just use a big jar with a lid that screws on tight.
-
Sweetness Check: This drink is already pretty sweet, so you might not need any sugar syrup. But if you like it sweeter, go ahead and add some. Give it a taste, then decide if you want more sweetness. If you add syrup, don't forget to shake it again.
-
Adjust the Flavor: If it's too sweet for you, add a bit more lemon juice or bourbon to balance it out.
-
Don't Forget the Dry Shake: Give the cocktail a dry shake first. This helps the egg white start to foam up. Then add ice and shake again. This cools everything down and makes the foam stronger.
-
Vegan Option: If you're vegan or don't want to use egg white, just leave it out or try using aquafaba instead. That's the liquid from a can of chickpeas. Start with about 2 tablespoons.
