Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 white cake mix box and any ingredients listed on box
  • 3.3 oz jello mix strawberry (you can also use raspberry, cherry )
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 tub Cool Whip

Instructions

  • Grab a cake mix and follow the instructions on the box.Bake it in a 9x13 pan. Easy peasy!
  • Once it's out of the oven, let the cake chill for 15 minutes. We don't want it too hot!
  • Grab a fork and go to town, poking the cake at ½ inch intervals. This is where the fun begins!
  • Get that Jello mix ready as directed on the packet. Spoon it all over the cake until there's no more liquid Jello hanging around.
  • Pop your masterpiece into the fridge for a cool-off session. Let it chill for 3 to 4 hours – patience is the key here!
  • When it's showtime, bring out the whipped cream. Plop it on top of the chilled cake, making it look as dreamy as can be.
  • Stick the whole shebang back in the fridge until you're ready to dig in. That's it – you're now the Jello Poke Cake pro!
