  • 3 eggs
  • 1 ounce envelopes instant onion soup mix
  • 1,1/2 cups dry breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 tablespoons flour optional
  • 4 cups beef broth optional

Instructions

  • Beat eggs in a large bowl.
  • Mix in soup mix, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Add ground beef; gently mix with wet hands and shape into oval patties.
  • Fry patties in a skillet until cooked through, then set aside.
  • For optional gravy, add flour to pan drippings, then beef broth; simmer until thickened.
  • Return patties to gravy, simmer until heated through.
  • Serve Salisbury Steak with mashed potatoes or cooked egg noodles.
