- 2 pounds beef short ribs - 1/2 cup soy sauce - 1/4 cup sugar - 4 cloves garlic, minced - 1 tbps ginger, grated - 1 onion, sliced - 2 carrots, peeled and sliced - 2 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks - 2 tbps sesame oil

Ingredients 

1. Marinate beef: Combine soy sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger, and pepper. Coat ribs, refrigerate. 2. Prepare vegetables: Slice carrots, cut potatoes, and slice onion. 3. Cooking: Heat pot, add ribs, onions, carrots, potatoes, and liquid.

Instruction 

4. Simmer: Boil, then simmer covered for 1.5-2 hours until tender, stirring. 5. Finish: Drizzle sesame oil, stir gently. 6. Serve: Transfer to platter, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot with rice and sides.
