Philly Fluff Cake Recipe

– Mixing Bowl – Whisk – Spatula – Measuring Cups

Equipment

– Baking spray with flour – 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened – ½ cup 4 ounces unsalted butter, softened – ½ cup canola oil – 3 cups granulated sugar – 2 teaspoons kosher salt – 5 large eggs at room temperature – 1 vanilla bean pod split (or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract)

Ingredients

– Preheat oven to 350°F. – Grease cake pan with 1 tablespoon  shortening and dust with 1 tablespoon flour. – Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. – Beat cream cheese, butter, and shortening in another bowl until airy.

Instructions 

– Add eggs one at a time and beat well. – Gradually add flour mixture and beat until smooth. – Mix in vanilla. – Pour batter into cake pan. – Bake for 55-60 minutes until golden brown.

Instructions 

– Cool cake in pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely. – Place cake on a serving platter and dust with powdered sugar. – Slice, serve, and enjoy!
