Mixing Bowl Whisk Spatula Measuring Cups
Baking spray with flour 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened ½ cup 4 ounces unsalted butter, softened ½ cup canola oil 3 cups granulated sugar 2 teaspoons kosher salt 5 large eggs at room temperature 1 vanilla bean pod split (or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract)
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease cake pan with 1 tablespoon shortening and dust with 1 tablespoon flour. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Beat cream cheese, butter, and shortening in another bowl until airy.
Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Gradually add flour mixture and beat until smooth. Mix in vanilla. Pour batter into cake pan. Bake for 55-60 minutes until golden brown.
Cool cake in pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely. Place cake on a serving platter and dust with powdered sugar. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
