Equipment

  • Clear parfait glasses or small jars
  • Whisk or hand mixer
  • Food coloring drops
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream chilled for whipping
  • 2 cups vanilla Greek yogurt or dairy-free alternative
  • 1 teaspoon sugar optional, for sweetening whipped cream
  • 3 drops yellow food coloring
  • 3 drops orange food coloring
  • a few drops white food coloring or natural alternative or leave natural for white
  • handful candy corn for decoration and tasting

Instructions

  • Place your mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 10 minutes to chill, then pour in the heavy cream. Whip on medium speed until soft peaks form, about 3-4 minutes. Add a teaspoon sugar if you prefer a sweeter whipped cream, and whip a few seconds more until just holding shape.
  • Divide the vanilla yogurt into three separate bowls. Add yellow food coloring to one, orange to another, and white (or leave as is) to the third. Gently stir each until the colors are vibrant and evenly blended, being careful not to streak.
  • Begin layering your parfaits: spoon about 2 tablespoons of yellow yogurt into each glass, spreading it gently with a spoon. Add a layer of whipped cream on top, smoothing it slightly.
  • Next, add a layer of orange yogurt, followed again by whipped cream. Repeat the process until the glasses are nearly full, leaving enough space for the final toppings.
  • Top each parfait with a swirl of whipped cream, then carefully place a candy corn on the side or on top as a festive decoration. Optionally, sprinkle a tiny bit of crushed cookies or graham crackers for added crunch. Chill the parfaits for about 10 minutes to help set the layers.
  • Just before serving, drizzle with a little honey or maple syrup for extra shine. Enjoy these playful, colorful parfaits that combine creamy textures with cheerful fall colors and a hint of sweetness.

Notes

For a softer pastel look, use fewer drops of food coloring. You can also swap out Greek yogurt for vanilla pudding for a richer, more decadent treat.
