Equipment

  • Blender
  • Freezer-Safe Container:

Ingredients

  • 4 cups ice cubes crushed or whole
  • 1.5 cups Coca-Cola chilled, preferably from the fridge
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice adjust to taste
  • a pinch salt just enough to enhance flavors
  • optional mint leaves for freshness
  • optional splash cherry syrup or ginger juice for extra flavor

Instructions

  • Fill your blender with 4 cups of ice, either crushed or whole, depending on what you have on hand.
  • Pour in 1 to 1.5 cups of chilled Coca-Cola, watching it mingle with the ice and start to fizz as you pour.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice to brighten up the flavors and give a zingy contrast to the sweetness.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the mixture; this enhances the sweetness and helps the fizz pop even more.
  • If you like, toss in a few mint leaves or a splash of cherry syrup for added flavor and visual appeal.
  • Blend everything on high for about 30 seconds until the mixture is thick, slushy, and thoroughly combined — you should hear a crackling sound as the ice breaks down.
  • Stop the blender and check the texture; if it's too runny, add a bit more ice and pulse briefly to thicken it up.
  • Taste the slushie and adjust by adding more lemon or a pinch more salt if needed, blending briefly to incorporate.
  • If you prefer a firmer texture, transfer the slushie into a freezer-safe container and freeze for 10–15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  • Scoop the icy, bubbly mixture into glasses, garnish with a lemon wedge or a sprig of mint for a lively presentation.
  • Enjoy immediately, feeling the crackle of ice against your teeth and the refreshing burst of bubbly flavor in every sip.

Notes

For an extra twist, add a splash of fruit syrup or a squeeze of lime. Adjust the amount of ice for desired thickness. Serve immediately for the best fizz and texture.
