Equipment

  • Bread loaf pan (8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches)
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Spoon or spatula for stirring
  • Wire Cooling Rack
  • Toothpick for testing

Ingredients

  • 2 cups softened ice cream
  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • Multicolored sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Prepare Pan: Grease an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch bread loaf pan and set aside.
  • Melt Ice Cream: Stir the ice cream until mostly melted and smooth.
  • Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the softened ice cream and self-rising flour. Do not overmix.
  • Pour Batter: Pour the batter into the prepared bread loaf pan.
  • Add Toppings: Top with multicolored sprinkles if desired.
  • Bake: Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool and Serve: Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 5 minutes, then remove from the pan and allow to cool completely on the wire rack. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
