Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon fillets preferably fresh, skin-on
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped or more for garnish
  • 1 lemon lemon, sliced for baking and garnish
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for drizzling
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish and lay the salmon fillets inside, skin-side down.
  • Sprinkle the fillets evenly with chopped dill, then season with salt and black pepper to your taste.
  • Place lemon slices over each fillet, letting the citrus aroma infuse as the salmon cooks.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the entire dish, helping the skin crisp and the flavors meld together.
  • Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil, sealing in moisture and preventing over-browning.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily when tested with a fork and is opaque throughout.
  • Remove the foil for the last 2 minutes if you want a slightly crisped top, then take out the dish and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • Serve the salmon hot, garnished with additional dill or lemon if desired, and enjoy the soft, flaky texture with herby citrus aroma.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the salmon to keep it moist. Use fresh dill for the best flavor. Adjust seasoning according to your taste preferences.
