Ingredients

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter 1 and a half sticks
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • 1 egg
  • Digestive Biscuits 1 bag 400 grams.
  • 1-2 tablespoons cognac
  • ½ cup sugar you can add ¾ for extra sweet flavor
  • ¼ cup whole milk

Instructions

  • Crush biscuits into large pieces using your hands or a heavy object.

  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then add sugar, cocoa, milk, and egg. Stir until fully combined.

  • Remove from heat and let it cool for 2 minutes before mixing in the cognac.
  • Fold the chocolate mixture into the crushed biscuits until well coated.

  • Pour the mixture onto parchment paper and tightly wrap it into a log shape.
  • Place the wrapped log in the freezer for 2-3 hours until set. Enjoy your lazy cake!

Notes

  • If you want to speed up the process of breaking the biscuits, you can place them in a zip bag and crush them with a heavy object.
  • Avoid using a food processor to break the biscuits, as it's better to have them in small pieces rather than fully crushed.
  • Adding an extra layer of foil paper before wrapping can help with shaping the log and achieving smooth edges.
  • Keep in mind that "biscuits" refers to cookies, a common term used in the Middle East and some European countries.
  • When wrapping the log, start with wrapping or parchment paper first, then add the foil. Foil tends to stick to the chocolate, making it difficult to unwrap later.
