Instructions

  • Pour the apple cider into a stovetop pot and place it over medium heat.
  • Add the cinnamon sticks and whole cloves to the cider, letting them float on the surface.
  • Using a vegetable peeler or zester, remove the orange zest and drop it into the pot, stirring gently to combine.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, watching for small bubbles and a fragrant aroma to develop.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer uncovered for about 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to release flavors.
