  • 1 cup fresh citrus juice lemon or lime
  • 0.25 cup simple syrup or honey syrup
  • 2 cups ice crushed or coarse
  • 1 cup champagne chilled, dry or sparkling rosé optional
  • Optional citrus wheel or mint sprig for garnish

Instructions

  • Chill your glasses in the freezer for 10-15 minutes so they stay icy cold when serving.
  • Pour the fresh citrus juice into a blender, then add the simple syrup and crushed ice.
  • Pulse the blender a few times to start breaking down the ice so the mixture begins to thicken and become slushy.
  • Blend on high for about 30-45 seconds until the mixture is thick, icy, and has tiny ice crystals shimmering throughout.
  • Slowly pour the chilled champagne into the blender while it’s running, listening for a gentle fizz as it mixes with the slush.
  • Briefly pulse the blender again to incorporate the champagne evenly, adjusting the texture if needed—more ice for thicker consistency or more citrus for brightness.
  • Remove your chilled glasses from the freezer and pour the sparkling citrus slush into them, filling each glass generously.
  • Garnish each glass with a citrus wheel or a sprig of mint for a pop of color and aroma.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the icy sparkle, bright citrus flavor, and lively fizz in every sip.

Notes

For extra fizz, add a splash of sparkling water before serving. Adjust sweetness with more or less syrup to taste. Use fresh citrus for the best flavor and bright appearance.
