  • 1 cup ice cubes crushed or whole

Instructions

  • Chop the watermelon into roughly 1-inch cubes, removing any seeds if you prefer a seedless texture.
  • Add the watermelon chunks to your blender, then squeeze in fresh lime juice and toss in the mint leaves.
  • Pour in the honey or agave syrup, adjusting the amount based on the sweetness of your watermelon.
  • Toss in the ice cubes and sprinkle a pinch of salt if using. Secure the lid tightly.
  • Blend everything on high for about 30 seconds, until the mixture is thick, icy, and smooth, with a shimmering red hue.
  • Stop the blender and check the consistency—if it’s too runny, add more ice and blend again until you reach a thick, frosty texture.
  • Taste and adjust the flavor—add a squeeze more lime for zing or a touch more honey if needed.
  • Pour the icy slushie into glasses, garnishing with a sprig of mint or a small watermelon wedge for a pretty finish.
  • Serve immediately for the best icy texture, or chill for a few minutes if you prefer it even colder.

Notes
