  • cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted and cooled

  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • pounds apples I like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
  • cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • Roll out chilled pie dough into a 12-14 inch circle and place in a 9-inch pie dish. Trim excess dough and crimp the edges. Freeze while preparing the filling.

  • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt for the crumble. Add melted butter and stir until large clumps form. Chill if necessary to form crumbles.
