Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded or chopped use rotisserie, poached, or leftover roasted chicken
  • 4 slices bacon cooked until crisp and chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese full-fat preferably aged for stronger flavor
  • 1/4 cup sour cream optional; use heavy cream or cream cheese for lactose-sensitive carnivore diets
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise preferably made with egg yolk and animal-based oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard optional; check ingredient source if strict carnivore
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste optional for strict carnivore, some avoid spices

Optional for flavor(still carnivore-safe):

  • Extra cheese or cream for creaminess
  • Small splash of chicken broth to loosen the salad if needed
