Equipment

  • Coffee Maker
  • Electric Kettle
  • Milk frother
  • Mug
  • Spoon
  • Strainer

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup filtered water
  • 2 chai tea bags
  • 2 teaspoons 8g granulated sugar *
  • cup chilled strongly brewed coffee *
  • cup of ice
  • ½ cup milk any percentage
  • Whipped cream optional for topping
  • Cinnamon optional for topping

Instructions

  • Boil ¼ cup of water.
  • Steep 2 chai tea bags in the hot water for 5 minutes.
  • Remove and discard the tea bags.
  • Stir 2 teaspoons of granulated sugar into the tea until it dissolves.
  • Mix in ⅓ cup of chilled, strongly brewed coffee.
  • Fill a 16-ounce cup with about 1½ cups of ice.
  • Pour the chai-coffee mixture over the ice, add ½ cup of milk, and stir well. Top with whipped cream and cinnamon if desired, then enjoy!

Notes

  • Cool Down: Let the latte cool to room temperature to prevent condensation in the container.
  • Transfer: Pour the leftover latte into an airtight container or a covered glass jar.
  • Refrigerate: Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat: When ready to enjoy, gently reheat the latte on the stovetop over low heat or in the microwave. Stir well to ensure even heating. If the milk has separated or the foam has settled, you might need to froth it again to restore the texture.
