  • Pizza cutter or sharp knife
  • Pastry brush (for olive oil spray)

Ingredients

  • 500 g store-bought pizza dough
  • 8 heaped teaspoons pizza sauce
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Heat treated flour to dust*
  • ½ cup salami chopped
  • ½ cup diced red capsicum bell pepper
  • ¼ cup baby spinach chopped
  • 16 spooky eyes
  • 8-10 green olives
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C/350°F and line a large baking sheet with baking paper.
  • Cut and roll out the pizza dough into 8 rectangles. Slice the sides of each rectangle horizontally to create thin strips.

  • Spread pizza sauce in the center of each rectangle, then top with mozzarella, salami, baby spinach, and capsicum, leaving the strips on the sides plain.

  • Fold the dough strips over the toppings to form an X pattern, resembling mummy bandages, and gently press them in place.

  • Lightly spray the tops with olive oil and bake for 15-20 minutes, until the dough turns golden.
  • For the spider garnish, cut one olive in half for the "body" and slice another into thin rounds to make "legs."

  • Arrange the pizza mummies on a plate, dust with a little flour for a spooky look, and add edible eyeballs.
