Equipment

  • Medium Saucepan
  • 2-ounce Plastic Cups with Lids

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces flavored gelatin mix
  • 1 cup water boiling
  • ½ cup water cold
  • ½ cup vodka

Instructions

  • Boil Water: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil. You can do this on the stovetop or in the microwave.
    Boil Water
  • Mix Gelatin: In a mixing bowl, empty the contents of the flavored gelatin package. Pour the boiling water over the gelatin mix and stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
    Mix Gelatin
  • Add Alcohol: Once the gelatin is dissolved, pour in 1 cup of cold alcohol. Stir well to combine.
    Add Alcohol
  • Pour into Cups: Arrange your plastic shot cups or molds on a tray. Carefully pour the gelatin mixture into each cup or mold, filling them nearly to the top.
  • Chill: Transfer the tray to the refrigerator and let the jello shots chill until they are firm, usually for about 2-4 hours.
    Chill and serve
  • Serve: Once set, your jello shots are ready to be enjoyed! You can serve them as they are or add whipped cream, fruit slices, or sprinkles for extra flair.

Notes

You can use any flavor of Jell-O you like. I grabbed grape, orange, cherry, lime, and berry blue. Each 3-ounce box of gelatin mix will make about 10 shots, so it’s good to make a few different flavors.
Want to kick these shots up a notch? Omit the 1/2 cup cold water and use 1 cup of vodka instead.
