Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup flour
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup milk
  • 1/4 Cup vegetable oil
  • 1 Tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 Tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a piston pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared piston pan.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the piston to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  1. Be careful not to overmix the batter, as this can result in a dense texture.
  2. Feel free to customize the recipe by adding nuts, chocolate chips, or fruit to the batter.
