  • 3/4 cup butter melted and cooled
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon anise or vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat your pizzelle iron and lightly spray it with nonstick cooking spray.

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, melted butter, eggs, anise or vanilla extract, and baking powder. Mix until smooth.

  • Scoop a rounded tablespoon of batter onto the center of the preheated pizzelle iron.

  • Close the iron and cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until the pizzelle is golden brown.

  • Carefully remove the pizzelle with a nonstick spatula and place it on a cooling rack.

  • Repeat with the remaining batter, spraying the iron as needed.
  • Let the pizzelles cool completely.
