Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring jugs/cups
  • Cutting board and knife (for cutting strawberries and garnishes)
  • Cocktail glasses (daiquiri glasses or any other cocktail glasses)
  • Citrus juicer (for fresh lime juice)
  • Spoon or strainer (for measuring and serving)

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces white rum
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • Ice about 1 cup or more for desired consistency

Instructions

  • Prepare the Blender: In a blender, add the fresh strawberries, white rum, lime juice, simple syrup, and ice. If you prefer a sweeter cocktail, you can increase the amount of simple syrup.
  • Blend: Blend the mixture until it becomes smooth and thick. If it's too thin, add more ice and blend again.
  • Serve: Pour the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass or daiquiri glass. You can garnish with a strawberry or a lime wedge on the rim, if desired.
  • Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade strawberry daiquiri!

Notes

Frozen Strawberries: You can use frozen strawberries instead of fresh ones. This can add extra chill and thickness to the drink.
Alcohol-Free Version: For a non-alcoholic version, replace the rum with lemon-lime soda or club soda, or use a non-alcoholic spirit alternative.
Adjusting Sweetness: You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup, depending on your preference.
