If comfort had a flavor, this might be it. The kind of soup that feels like a blanket after a long day warm, creamy, and unapologetically rich.
I started making Keto Crack Chicken Soup during a cold stretch when regular chicken soup just wasn’t enough.
I wanted something deeper, something that still felt indulgent but didn’t derail my low-carb routine.
And somehow, it worked. The bacon, the cream cheese, the herbs, they all melt into one silky spoonful of satisfaction.
It’s not about calories or carbs here.
It’s about warmth, flavor, and that quiet exhale you take after the first bite.
I Make This When I Want Real Food

It’s not light. It’s not fussy. And that’s exactly why I love it.
Each ingredient brings something to the table, salty bacon, creamy broth, and tender chicken that practically falls apart.
You get the comfort of a slow-cooked meal, but in under 25 minutes.
No thickeners, no flour, no guiltjust rich flavor that doesn’t pretend to be anything it’s not.
This soup doesn’t whisper “diet.” It just says, “You’re home.”

- Step 6: Serve and TopLadle the soup into bowls. Top with green onions, extra cheese, or even a swirl of sour cream if you’re feeling indulgent.
Nutrition
Pro Tip: If you like a little texture, toss in chopped spinach or cauliflower florets toward the end. They soak up the broth beautifully without adding carbs.
This One Always Feels Good

There’s something deeply reassuring about a recipe that asks so little yet gives so much.
A handful of ingredients, a bit of heat, and somehow it turns into a meal that feels like therapy.
Maybe that’s the magic of this soup.
it’s low-carb, yes, but it’s also full-hearted.
A little creamy, a little smoky, a lot like home.

Can you make this is a crockpot?

Yes, you can! Just cook the bacon separately, then add all ingredients (except the cream, cheese, and spinach) to the crockpot. Cook on LOW for 4-6 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours. Stir in the cream, cheese, and spinach during the last 15-20 minutes until melted and creamy. Hope you love it!

Is this recipe for the same soup in the photo? I have made the soup, and just got to the last step. I was expecting to read how to add what appears to be a cheesy topping with crispy edges in the serving bowl. What type of cheese is that? Will I just spread it on top and put it in the broiler in individual bowls? The photo is what drew me to the soup. It looks so yummy! And it smells amazing in my kitchen right now, I just want to add that last yummy step. 😂

Hi AK! 😊 Yes, this is the same soup! The cheesy topping in the photo was an extra finishing touch—it's just shredded cheddar (or a mix of cheddar and mozzarella) melted under the broiler for a crispy, golden layer. You can ladle the soup into oven-safe bowls, sprinkle cheese on top, and broil for 2-3 minutes until bubbly and slightly crisp. So glad you're enjoying it—your kitchen must smell amazing! Let me know how it turns out!
