Notes

  1. Blender Capacity: Depending on your blender’s size, you might need to adjust the number of strawberries you toss in. Feel free to customize the amounts for a small or large batch – it’s all in your hands!
  2. Strawberry Prep Hack: Here’s a neat trick – wash your strawberries before hulling. This keeps them from turning into little water balloons. Say goodbye to soggy berries!
  3. Sweetness Check: If your strawberries are already ripe and bursting with flavor, you might not need extra sweetness. Give it a taste, and only add sugar if you feel the need. It’s your puree, after all – make it as sweet as you like.
  4. Baby-Friendly Version: Planning to serve this to a tiny human? Skip the sugar. Keep it simple and natural for the little ones.
  5. Smooth Texture Option: Seeds not your thing? No worries! If the seeds bug you or your kiddos, run the puree through a fine mesh sieve. Say hello to a silky-smooth texture without the pesky seeds.

Time for The Tips!

Time for The Tips!

1. Berry TLC – Wash and Hull Like a Pro: Before diving into the puree magic, give those strawberries a good wash. But here’s the trick – wash before hulling to keep your berries from turning into a waterpark. Use a sharp knife, circle around the leafy top, and dive into the pale flesh. Remove the hull, and voila!

2. Sweetness on Your Terms: Who’s the boss of sweetness in your kitchen? You are! Adjust the sugar to your liking. Start with a sprinkle, taste, and tweak until you hit the sweet spot. It’s your puree; make it dance to your taste buds’ rhythm.

3. Silky Smooth Vibes: I’m all about those berry seeds, but if they’re not your jam (pun intended!), no worries. Strain your puree through a fine mesh sieve. Say goodbye to seeds and hello to a velvety texture – perfect for pleasing even the pickiest palates.

Possible Variations!

  1. Maple Syrup: Drizzle in the goodness of maple syrup for a unique twist.
  2. Honey: A dollop of honey adds a sweet touch to your strawberry puree.
  3. Coconut Sugar: Bring in a hint of tropical sweetness with coconut sugar.
  4. Agave Syrup/Nectar: Feeling a bit adventurous? Give agave syrup a go.
